Dead Man's Flats - Area Structure Plan  (ASP)
An Open House for the Dead Man’s Flats Area Structure Plan (ASP) was held on February 17, 2015. The MD’s staff and the consultant met with area residents and business owners to discuss the vision, objectives, land uses and design concept for the draft ASP. Attendees provided comments to the MD using a Survey Questionnaire presented at the meeting.  The Survey Questionnaire and the Open House materials were placed on the MD’s website in order to receive further comments from the public.

Drafts of the ASP document were prepared by the consultant and reviewed by staff and the ASP Steering Committee during the months following the Open House.  After reviewing the final draft on May 20th with staff and the consultant, the Steering Committee recommended that the draft ASP be submitted to Council.

The draft ASP, now designated as proposed Bylaw 12/15, will be presented to Council on Tuesday, June 9th for review and consideration of first reading of the bylaw and scheduling a public hearing date.  The ASP document will be posted on the MD’s website following the Council meeting along with information for the public hearing.
